Limits.

So, kids, apparently I can write a short story every day for a year, but I’ve hit my limit when attempting to take, process, and post a 3D photo…365 times…in…a…row.

I’m not stopping the project, but I’m changing two things:

1. It’s no longer “daily”.

2. It’s no longer limited to one year.

This will also change a third thing by default…it will alleviate all of the guilt that I’m feeling about not updating this fricking blog as often as I said I would. Seriously, dudes, this is stressing me out, but the whole point of goatygoat is to have fun and keep in touch with y’all.

So the restructuring begins now. Keep an eye out…soonish…for new photos.

Mandy + Carb's wedding reception

In order to reach their log cabin last weekend, Nikki and Aaron had to drive over a primitive road, through cattle gates, and then hike fifteen minutes into a pretty river ravine.

Do not drink the water.

Damn shame, really. I used to love biking around Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis, and stopping to drink from a pump just like this one.

Star of David on the outhouse.

I took this photo, and walked by this outhouse fifty more times that weekend, but I only noticed that the cutout star is the Star of David when I converted it to 3D.

Stumpy the Cat

This well-fed farm cat is missing half of his tail. He was mighty affectionate, and with every pat on his ample butt, he would twitch his tail back and forth so quickly it looked like it was vibrating.

Apparently, Stumpy likes his brewskis.

ec and Shane tied the knot on August 15th. This is the reason I went to Iowa, and I’ve been smiling all week, thinking of last weekend’s awesomeness.

This is the barn where we danced and danced that night, to everything from Al Green and Stevie Wonder to Merle Haggard, Prince, and Michael Jackson.

This barn has been used as a dance hall since 1929, and I suspect that illegal booze was probably produced here during Prohibition.

Last weekend, this barn added a new memory, that of a pair of people who are perfect together dancing for four hours straight, celebrating a fantastic day.
